ASSTRONAUTS is a punk rock band from Villach, Austria.
The band was founded in summer 2002.
After very good local successes, the band starts spreading their music on national level.
With the Viennese Booking Agency “Rude Monkeys” and with their debut album “..cause sometimes you don´t wanna be nice!”
the ASSTRONAUTS were booked as national support for international punk rock acts like
“The Real Mckenzies, Necromantix, Turbo A.Cs,..” (in order to call only some).

Beginning of 2007 ASSTRONAUTS signed a record deal with DAMBUSTER RECORDS and released their second album
“With The Happiness Of A Drowning Swimmer”
„With The Happiness Of A Drowning Swimmer" represents an enormous advancement of the ASSTRONAUTS – punk rock music, peppered
with 80ies styled rock´n´roll and a finely proportioned shot melancholy.
